Main Characters:
Kazuma:
Gender: Male.
Age: 17.
Description: A violent quick to judge delinquent that acts first and thinks later. Although he is a delinquent he can be very kind and always upholds his pride and honour.
Background: Kazuma was raised in a clan made up of fire users that have been around for centuries and hold the title still as they have since the beginning of the clans rise to power as the strongest elemental clan in the world. Kazuma was the second in line of the throne in his clan until his elder brother died in a clan war and then he became next in line for the throne. At the age of 15 he was banished from the clan due to a battle with his father the current leader of the fire clan upon a disagreement in whether to send more clan mates into an open war ground. Kazuma told his father that sending them was pointless and they would only die without need, but his father refused to listen is his words and instead tried to punish him for his words resulting in their battle in which Kazuma’s father instantly won the fight and then had him punished by his clan mates and banished from the clan.
Power: Kazuma has control over the element of fire which allows him to direct fire at whatever he wishes resulting in that target being incinerated. Fire being one of the more uncontrollable elements usually ends up with the most chaotic results like having every flammable object in the area completely destroyed even if Kazuma didn’t wish for it to be so.

Arashi:
Gender: Male.
Age: 15.
Description: A quiet withdrawn person who only responds to questions that he deems worthy of him wasting his breath for. Although he is quiet and doesn’t speak much he opens up when he gets excited over something, although he quickly withdraws into his quiet state once he realizes what he is doing. Arashi is extremely intelligent and can think of perfect battle tactics in seconds even in the midst of combat which makes up for his complete failure of control for his element.
Background: Arashi was born into a normal family made of his two parents and two sisters and lived with them till they were murdered in front of him when he was five years old. From the age of five he lived in an orphanage until he was thirteen and he ran away. He lived on the streets for 6 months until he was found in a fight with some kids from a local school by a girl named Sara who convinced the boys to leave him alone and then took Arashi to her home with her where he had dinner then left. From then on he met with her every day after school and they hung out together till she had to go home. After a while he opened up to her and she found out about his history and current situation. After finding out about the state he was in she asked her parents who knew them to be close friends if he could live with them while withholding the information about him to which they said he could. Three months after they had met Sara’s parents enrolled Arashi into their daughter’s school where they currently attend.
Power: Arashi has control over the second halve of the fire element which is lightning. In Arashi’s case this means he can control and channel electrical charges through objects made of metal etc. and through water enough to stun or even kill if he were to go too far. Lightning users from the lightning clans that have more power over the element than Arashi can send currents through the air itself or create lightning from nothing and direct at their targets. Arashi being not very talented or have had any training in using his power cannot do as such although his electrical currents are quite powerful.

Tatsu:
Gender: Male.
Age: 16.
Description: A wild character always doing what are looked upon as stupid things by his peers but Tatsu doesn’t care as long as him and his best mate Kyou have as much fun as possible at the time. Tatsu is very clumsy and doesn’t have a care in the world what people think of him or what he does. He is always trying to be happy and is very optimistic and will not be put down easy in a fight whether verbal or physical.
Background: Tatsu was born into a small wind clan and trains in combat with Kyou when pushed to do so by his parents or peers at his clan. Tatsu used to be quiet and couldn’t make friends due to his wild ideas which frightened the other kids at school when he told them what they can do for fun till he meet Kyou when he was five years old, and from then on he became wild and outgoing as he is currently. Tatsu and Kyou are almost always seen together and are equal in combat. Tatsu loves Kyou but does not tell her because he is afraid his feelings won’t be accepted, he tries his best to keep her happy and comes up with ideas fitting for the two of them to wreck havoc and have fun. Tatsu met Kyou due to a family clan meeting between their parents and have been best friends ever since.
Power: Tatsu has power over wind and is pretty strong in combat. His ability allows him to fly for a short while longer if there is a lot of movement in the air and he can make objects hover and throw them and also blast heavy objects out of his way. He can create small twisters and once when he was protecting Kyou from some rival clan bullies he created a powerful miniature tornado which ripped everything in the area to shreds and would have killed the bullies if Tatsu’s father had not intervened.

Kyou:
Gender: Female.
Age: 16.
Description: A very cheerful and aggressive girl that enjoys making lots of activity occur for her own and Tatsu’s amusement. Kyou is very smart but is also very lazy when it comes to things she does not enjoy such as school work. When she is supposed to be working she will usually be wreaking havoc with her best friend Tatsu. Kyou is always with Tatsu and will do anything to protect him and gets very angry when girls get too close to him or if someone hurts him; when she is angry she becomes very powerful and can even beat Tatsu in a fight even though they are equal in power usually.
Background: Kyou was born into a clan whose people have power over force which generally means being able to completely destroy whatever is in front of them with a shockwave. Kyou only trains when she is with Tatsu due to the fact he is the only one that can seem to handle her that has time. Kyou up to the age she was five was under very strict orders by her parents to train everyday for hours on end until she meet Tatsu and was from then on distracted and her parents couldn’t get her back into their regime. Kyou has loved Tatsu since they met but wont share her feelings because she thinks Tatsu is the type not into proper relationships. Kyou is on equal ground of power with Tatsu but when she is angry is a little more powerful. Kyou in school always tries to keep Tatsu to herself and away from other girls if she can help it and thinks of him as her unrequited love.
Power: Kyou has power over force the second half of the wind element and is very good at it. Her power allows her to fly like Tatsu and crush objects, repulse them away or blast an invisible bubble at her target with enough strength to shatter every bone in their body if she wished for it; she can also create a shield of force in the form of a bubble around her that’s as strong as steel and can deflect even a truck going at a high speed smashing into her bubble which occurred when she was fourteen and she and Tatsu accidently went into the path of one, she says her bubble is twice as strong as it was back then.

Ushio:
Gender: Female.
Age: 15.
Description: A beautiful girl that is always trying her best to be happy and is very popular at school and is swimming team captain. She has a crush on Kazuma but being a water element user is afraid of expressing her feelings to her rival in nature as she thinks he may believe they are too different to be together. She is always awed at Kazuma and thinks a lot about him and is curious about Arashi in her class due to his behaviour.
Background: Ushio is a water user from her mother’s side and is not in a water clan but takes training at a water clan’s dojo. She discovered her ability of control over water when she was six and has practised everyday ever since. When her mother found that she could control water she was very happy due to the fact half bloods of elemental users do not always get their single parents powers. Ushio met Kazuma when she was twelve when he came to challenge the water clan’s dojo to test his strength against another element and has loved him ever since she was in awe at his power.
Power: Ushio has power over water and can lift massive amounts of it at once and use it to crush her target; she can also use water as a whip or even with great difficulty slice objects with it making her a tough opponent in a fight. She can also use water as a substance to heal her wounds as long as they are not too deep

Shiro:
Gender: Male.
Age: 17.
Description: A cold intelligent calculating character that doesn’t care about anyone but himself and is not very popular in his school and is generally hated by his classmates and even his teachers due to him always being cold even when they are trying to make friends with him. Shiro is another person interested in Arashi because of his behaviour and think he might be an element user although he cannot guess which.
Background: Shiro is the offspring of a water user and an ice user but only seems to be able to efficiently control ice; he comes from the water clan Ushio trains at but can only use ice so is looked at as not being a proper part of the clan although his father the water user tries to get the other clan members to talk to him more much to Shiro’s displeasure. Shiro’s mother died when he was given birth to so he does not know her and only has his father as his parent which he does not like much as he is generally like the rest of the clan to which he hates. When he was fourteen he saw a fire user (Kazuma) come and challenge the dojo and after he saw Kazuma’s powers decided he would train to beat him ever since.
Power: Shiro has the power to move water and then freeze it and throw it as sharp projectiles at will; he can also freeze almost any object and make it shatter and with great concentration even freeze someone’s blood when he is very angry and wants to kill his target (he froze a fellow clan mates blood and shattered his legs and his left arm before he ran out of energy to continue).
Kotai:
Gender: Male.
Age: 15.
Description: A distant boy always thinking about what he wants to eat next or something of similar involvement; he does not speak much and is not very smart but is liked by his classmates due to him usually doing something funny by accident. A girl named Sakura secretly likes him and is always waiting for him to get to the school gates so she can walk home with him. Kotai is friends with Sakura and Arashi and they generally group together at lunch and when in class activities.
Background: Kotai lives life in normal conditions and has no hobbies; he met Sakura when he was thirteen in middle school and they became friends when he was fourteen. Kotai likes Sakura and Arashi and they tend to hang out at school.
Power: Kotai has the power to control earth and so can throw rocks around and heal himself as long as he is in direct contact with the earth. He can also erect barriers from the earth and make fantastic sandcastles. He sometimes with his ability makes a dome of earth where he, Sakura and Arashi can sit in and talk in private when Sakura orders him to.
Yukine:
Gender: Female.
Age: 16.
Description: A fun active girl that loves puppies and kittens and loves Tatsu and lets him know about it casually quite often to make him blush but quickly runs away afterwards because of how scary she thinks Kyou is. Yukine is very kind and is very giving and will always help out.
Background: Yukine comes from a clan that controls mass (the second half of earth) and so can make an object extremely heavy in seconds to the point objects are drawn to it resulting in a vacuum occurring with can be very dangerous and an amazing attack; after a mass user makes an object do as such when the energy they are using to make it do so runs out the object goes back to how it was before resulting in everything dropping to the floor or if the user wishes it the vacuum exploding resulting in a devastating attack. At the age of eight years old Yukine beat her father in a fight with her powers and was put in line of the throne due to her massive talent in mass control. She is one of the strongest in her clan losing only to the leader and some of the elites making her very powerful compared to elemental users her age. Her clan is currently second in power out of all the clans’ fire being first.
Power: Yukine controls the mass of objects and her favourite move is to throw an extremely heavy charged rock in mass at her targets and then release the energy to make it explode making it an amazing attack; she can also make objects near her target vacuum or explode and can even remove the mass of objects which is rare even in her clan.
Powers and how they relate to each other.
These elemental powers are well known in the world and are both feared and respected.
Every human being can use powers of Ki but only few can use the powers of the elements.
Ki: ki is the power all humans have and is trained using concentration and biological strength. Ki allows the user to use powers not unlike the element of force as a ki user can use their energy to repulse their targets with force from them or even forcefully attract targets to them. Ki is often used alongside hand to hand combat or with weapons; it not very efficient in combat at long range but ki can be embedded in a ranged weapon and thrown making for example an exploding ki arrow or throwing knife.
The elements
Fire: Fire is looked upon as the most powerful element in general due to the fact it lives on its own: by living on its own it will consume a target even if the fire user has released control. Fire users are not a very defensive combat user as their element by nature seeks to destroy resulting in fire users concentrating on the offensive. Fire can be used to make them fly with enough energy, it can be used to incinerate various objects, it can be shaped by the user into various things and used to better destroy their target in such a form i.e. shaping the fire into the form of a dragon in order to both scare the enemy and shock them as the dragon of fire descends upon them and turns them into ashes. Fires elemental partner is lightning.
Lightning: Lightning was once the most powerful known element in the world until it lost its reputation and nearly its existence in an open clan war. Lightning in a weak form is merely electrical currents which the early user would used to shock their enemies through their swords in open warfare; as the lightning user got older they could send electrical currents through the air itself stunning their enemies and making them defenceless to the sword wielding lightning user. Eventually the lightning user would be able to cast lightning from their bodies and completely destroy almost anything as long as the user had the energy for it. A lightning user was looked upon as coming of age when they could cast lightning. To the world lightning users of age were the most feared elemental users on the planet and were avoided as much as possible due to their natural overwhelming power. Lightning’s elemental partner is fire.
Wind: Wind is looked upon by the world as one of the weaker elements due to them being able to control only air, but what the world in general doesn’t know is that the eight elements are all equal and is only as powerful as the user. Wind is generally used to blow targets away, slice them into pieces etc. common attacks by wind users are to create twisters or tornados or even hurricanes to destroy their enemies. Uncommon methods in combat that are very rare among wind users is to direct attack a targets needs which is extremely complex and hard to execute but once mastered is unmatched in deadliness; a wind user by attacking the targets needs can suck the oxygen out of the air making the target suffocate on the spot and die making the wind user very feared by other elemental users who know of this attack. Winds elemental partner is force.
Force: Force is an average element in the world’s eyes and is thought of as a really powerful form of ki but the world in general is very mistaken. Force can be used to crush anything as long as the user has the strength to do so. Force users can fire bubble of force into their targets shattering their bones or liquefying them resulting in instant death. They can also attract by force everything in the surrounding area to them or a single specific object or person; they can also do the reverse and repulse everything from them at high speed destroying an entire area like a bomb. Force users can create bubble of near invisible force around them which will deflect any incoming attacks as long as the user has the energy for it. The force user’s defensive bubble becomes more visible the stronger it is to the point where the users bubble is cloudy and they can only just see, this requires a massive amount of power and only a grand master could do it. Forces elemental partner is wind.
Water: Water is looked upon as another powerful element in general and can do many things. A water user can heal wounds when in water and if powerful enough even regenerate entire limbs in water. Water users move water around as they wish and can form objects with it to use as weapons i.e. a whip. Water users can use water to slice their enemies apart, crush them with vast amount of it or even if they are truly evil and very powerful control their target using the water in their body like a puppet. By being able to control the water in the targets body they can kill them instantly by forcing the water out of their targets body resulting in their internal organs being ripped apart. Water clan’s exceptional ability to control the water in their targets bodies made them very feared among the ancient world but in the present controlling the water in bodies is extremely rare and very difficult to do. Waters elemental partner is ice.
Ice: Ice is a generally hard element to use as the user needs something to freeze in which they are capable with their supply of energy; as most ice users can only freeze substances such as water as it is easy to freeze and so they must become part water elemental users in order to become efficient in combat versus other elemental users. Some ice users can freeze the water in the air to use as projectiles although this is very hard. Ice users that are very powerful can create a cone of ice to direct at whatever they wish and it will freeze everything within the cone and shatter it making it a very powerful attack. Powerful ice users can also directly freeze bodies of water without being in contact with it for example they could freeze a lake without touching it or putting anything in it, the lake would just turn to ice. Once something has been frozen the ice user can will it to shatter or unfreeze. Being able to freeze liquids that they are not in contact with also includes a targets blood, which once frozen has basically killed the target and being frozen can be willed to shatter by the ice user making this attack harsh. Ices elemental partner is water.
Earth: Earth is a naturally powerful element and even novices in the use of it can be strong due to them being able to absorb energy from the earth itself and use it to power their attack which include being able to move earth as they wish and change its shape. Earth users being able to control every last particle of earth can make rocks explode or change from such as rock to sand and using energy from the earth as long as they are in physical contact with it move rocks so heavy that whatever they are throwing it at will be completely crushed. Earth users can also heal themselves when in contact with the earth and if a very powerful user can absorb targets energy if they are in contact with the earth. Earth users when in combat have a large advantage due to wars usually taking place on land which is their element; humans being animals that live on land will usually always be on land making them at mercy to earth’s attacks no matter what. Earth users that are very powerful can also control metal which is basically refined earth although this is very hard and takes a lot of energy it can be done and is very useful due to humans making a lot of structures out of metal. Earths elemental partner is mass.
Mass: Mass is a very complex element and is such a hard one to master but once mastered makes the user extremely difficult to defeat in combat. Mass users common attacks are to charge object with their energy making its mass go up considerably making it even attract objects towards it much like the earth pulls in the moon; this ability is very powerful as once the energy is released it will explode destroying everything in its radius and blasting the attracted objects in all directions. Mass users can also increase their strength and make themselves resistant to physical attacks making them unmatched in close combat and hopeless to defeat with weapons such as swords as they will only shatter if used on them in this state. By being able to increase their strength they can become very hard to stop and with their power to increase mass in objects makes them one of the most powerful elemental users to exist. Mass’s elemental partner is earth.


The clans
When the clans rose to power there were four: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.
The fire clan was the greatest and was made up of fire and lightning users.
At some point in history the four clans split into two and made eight clans in total.
After the split fire was the most powerful still and held dominance over the world.

Over the years the ranks changed very often with fire always at the top. At one point in history lightning overtook fire and became the most powerful clan ever to exist until they were nearly completely wiped out and became nearly non-existent and were from then on forever last.
After many years of war between the remaining seven clans truces were made and the wars stopped being worldwide. The wars still go on in the present but they are held in secret and do not do much to involve the world.

Chapter one

It was pitch black and there was a deep groaning sound coming from down the corridor getting louder and louder. Arashi could feel himself shaking he didn’t know what to do. ‘Don’t come any closer!’ The groaning seems as if it’s getting closer. ‘Please don’t come any closer?’ Arashi slowly backs away down the corridor shaking harder. The groaning stops and Arashi hears a voice in a whisper. ‘Arashi, Arashi, Arashi!’ ‘Arashi wake up!’
Arashi opened his eyes and looked up into the face of his friend Sara. ‘Good morning sleepy head’, giggles Sara. ‘You took a while to wake up Arashi and you looked like you was having a nightmare, are you Okie?’ smiles Sara.
‘I’m fine’, says Arashi while suppressing a yawn.
‘Good, good now up you get, breakfast is ready and we have to leave for school in twenty minutes, hurry and get dressed’ ‘ok’ replies Arashi.
Sara leaves the room as Arashi gets out of bed and starts putting on his socks. After getting dressed, Arashi brushed his teeth and patted down his thick black hair before heading downstairs.
Once downstairs he was pushed into a dining room chair by Sara and given a bowl of rice porridge to eat. Sara sat down beside him and started eating her own porridge while he rubbed his eyes and started on emptying his own bowl.
‘Come on hurry up and finish’, says Sara as she finishes her own bowl and proceeds to the sink to wash her bowl. ‘Almost done’, replies Arashi eating his last spoonful of rice porridge before heading to the sink himself. ‘I’ll take that, you go and get your school bag and ill meet you at the door’.
Arashi rushed to the living room and grabbed his bag he left by the door from yesterday and rushed back through the dining room into the hallway. ‘Come on lets go’, ‘Bye mum, see you later’, ‘Come on Arashi lets go’
As Arashi and Sara walked through the front door into the garden Arashi looked over at Sara on his left and stared at her long blonde hair as she turned her head towards him and they made eye contact. ‘Is something on my face?’ asked Sara staring back into his eyes. ‘Err no sorry’ replied Arashi blushing while turning his head towards the gate at the end of the front garden.
Arashi opened the gate and he and Sara walked through it and he closed it behind him and walked alongside Sara on their path to school.
‘Arashi, Sara!’ shouts a voice behind them. ‘Oh hi Sakura’, says Sara. ‘How are you?’ ‘I’m good’, smiles Sakura. ‘Where is Kotai today?’ asks Sara. ‘I don’t know’, says Sakura with a sad face. ‘I think he walked to school without me’ ‘Aw~ poor Sakura’, says Sara patting her on the head.
Together Arashi, Sara and Sakura arrived at school and went to their homerooms. ‘Cya at lunch Arashi’, says Sara walking ahead and through the door to her homeroom 1-B.
Arashi turned left and walked through the door into his own homeroom class and headed towards the back of the classroom to his sit in the corner by the window. ‘Aw~ don’t you think Arashi is cute’, said a voice in a group of girls to the right of his sit as he sat down blushing. ‘Aw~ he blushed, how sweet’, says a different voice in the group.
Arashi turned his head and looked out the window waiting for homeroom to start. ‘Hi Arashi’, said Arashi’s friend Kotai as he sat down in his sit to the right of Arashi’s ‘Where were you this morning? Sakura was looking for you on the way to school’, says Arashi. ‘Oh, I woke up late and didn’t make it to out meet up spot in time’ replies Kotai.
‘Alright settle down, settle down time for homeroom’, said the teacher while stacking papers on his desk.
After homeroom and morning lessons it was time for lunch as Arashi and Kotai left their classroom. ‘Say that again and see what I do to you brat!’ shouts a voice from outside down in the courtyard. Arashi and Kotai look out the window to see who shouted. ‘That’s Kazuma and some guy from a year below him’, said a voice to Arashi’s right in the crowd of people pushing at the window for a look at what’s going on in the courtyard. ‘Oh no isn’t he from the fire clan? He’ll tear someone without elemental powers apart’. Arashi looks down into the courtyard as another voice coming from the guy opposing Kazuma shouts ‘Your pathetic all you do is stroll around being a dick to everyone, do you even have any friends?’ ‘That’s it weasel, prepare to die’ says Kazuma suddenly creating a fist of fire in his right hand. ‘If that’s how you want it, let’s go!’ shouts the fair haired guy opposing Kazuma while falling into a battle stance. ‘Ah~!’ screams Kazuma as he pulls his flaming fist back and forms a fireball with his fire. The fair haired guy runs forward as Kazuma blasts a fireball in his direction. The fair haired guy dodges the fireball and swipes his hands across Kazuma’s retreating chest blasting Kazuma backwards and through a school building window at the other end of the courtyard.

the layout is better on word but it changed on here.
i will do a point of view from all 8 characters and progress through their story from the present they are now untill they lived there entire lives. the school they all go to is just how they met up. ive already written a book on arashi (name means storm) before this is number 2.
