The day was flying by so fast and you caught me by surprise,
You were standing there by the corner, a weird light shining in your eyes,
I knew that look and thought it couldn'tget any worse,
But when you said you didn't love me no more I knew my heart was cursed,
I could feel your poison trinkling deep into my soul,
those words turned me rigid, my heart as black as coal,
My world, once blue, was cast into darkness,
As I tried to picture my life without your calmness,
I knew breakups were hard, but there was so much to gain,
Once I hardened my heart against it, I no longer felt the pain,
My mind got strnger, and I built back up the walls,
That your love and hate, together, caused to fall.
Our relationship taught me a lession,
And my bruises make it true,
You can never trust a man that gets off on abusing you,
Your hits made tougher, your kicks did the same,
Sooner or later I will be strong enough to make you feel my pain.
